Local fish stocks received a big boost with the release of 100,000 trout fry in rivers and creeks in the Tumut area on Saturday.
Tumut Acclimatisation Society members collected the rainbow and brown trout fry from Gaden Trout Hatchery and released them the same day, something they do annually at this time of year .
The Society is planning to release bigger trout in Blowering Dam before Christmas.
