As of Wednesday morning a further four cases of Covid-19 have been identified within the Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD), bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the region to 40. The 40 cases includes one resident of Victoria who is currently isolating in NSW.
Over 1800 people have been tested in the region so far.
The new cases are located in Berrigan Shire, Hilltops Shire and the Snowy Valleys Council Area.
The total number of confirmed cases in the SCV now sits at two.
Of the 40 confirmed cases, six are in Albury, three in Berrigan, one in Cootamundra-Gundagai, seven in Federation, two in Greater Hume, three in Griffith City, one in Hay Shire, two in Hilltops Shire, three in Murrumbidgee Council, one in Narrandera Shire, two in Snowy Valleys Council Area and nine in Wagga Wagga City.
37 cases were acquired overseas, one acquired interstate and one acquired locally, meaning the patient has not travelled and there is no known contact with a confirmed case. These statistics do not include the case who is a Victorian resident.
