Batlow CiderFest bubbles along

Crowds poured in to fill Batlow’s main street to the brim for the 2018 CiderFest.

Cider, craft beer and wine flowed and an array of eateries served up delicious fare for thousands who turned out for the seventh festival.

Performances across two stages kept the hordes entertained, while there was even a surprise appearance from royalty.

From humble beginnings in 2012, the festival has quickly grown to become one of the Snowy Valleys’ biggest annual events.

Festival-goers came from far and wide – many from Canberra and Wagga, but also from further afield.

Wagga MP Daryl Maguire officially opened the event, praising the organisers for their hard-work and the community at large for supporting it in droves.

Today’s main street party followed a successful cider conference on Friday, where industry heavyweights from across Australia gathered.
