After spending the weekend boiling all consumable water, residents of Tumut, Adelong and Cloverdale can now go back to drinking straight from the tap.
The Snowy Valleys Council’s precautionary boil water notice was lifted at 1pm today (Monday, September 1).
“NSW Health has given Snowy Valleys Council the all clear to lift the boil water notice,” read an official statement.
“Test results have indicated water quality is within the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines limits and turbidity is under control.”
The council asked people to share the information with “anyone you know who is not on Facebook.”
The precautionary notice was first announced just after noon on Friday, August 28.
