MORE than 40 Tumut Bowls Club members attended the annual presentation day for the championship results from the 2023-24 season.
Les Abric conducted the presentations on behalf of the president Peter Hawken who was away playing another district championship match.
Abric welcomed everyone to the day and firstly thanked everyone who had played in the triples social match during the morning thoroughly enjoyed by 24 players.
Abric also made special mention and thanks to Phil (greenkeeper), the ladies who have helped out through the season and the bar staff who look after all members and visitors throughout the pennant season.
Presentations to were made to the following:
Singles Champion: Joe Cox – presented with the “Blue” Jacket at club champion.
Singles Runner-Up – Geoff Webb
Pairs champions: Les Abric and Mat Vicary
Pairs Runners Up: Rick McAlister and Stephen Poole (absent on the day).
Triples champions: Peter Fardell, Kevin Crampton and Geoff Webb
Triples Runners Up: Don Dwyer (absent for the presentations were) Phil Tod and Peter Hawken
Fours champions: Liam Abric, Robert Kerr (absent), Robyn Harris and Greg Crampton
Fours Runners Up: Margert Bye, Col Enright and Ray Claffey (both absent) and Les Abric
Minor Singles Champion: Will Crampton
Minor Runner Up: Michael Olditch
Mixed Pairs champions: Margaret Bye and Graeme Rossiter
Mixed pairs Runners Up: Joy Schroder and Les Abric
Prior to the presentations a smorgasbord lunch was served by staff from the Falling Leaf Restaurant.
