Bruce & Virginia saying goodbye to an era

Bruce and Viriginia Robinson with Inside Out Homestore new owner Jodie Uhr, who will officially take over on Friday June 14.

End of era, but with new beginnings, Bruce and Virginia Robinson are pleased to announce the sale of Inside Out Homestore, to Tumut locals Jodie and David Uhr.

Bruce and Virginia opened Inside Out Homestore 22 years ago with aims to give our town a local shop to buy quality cookware, unique homewares and stylish décor.

Their success shows with trusted locals and visiting tourists supporting their business over the years, forming genuine connections with many in and around our community.

Their achievements are evident through the many awards they have received over the years including Best Retail Business, Best Employee and Business of the Year through the Tumut Business awards.

During Bruce and Virginia’s time at Inside Out Homestore they have generously supported the community in various ways – supporting local charities, fundraisers and sporting groups.

They are founding and long-term members of the Tumut Regional Chamber of Commerce, now known as Business Snowy Valleys and have held a range of successful community events such as, retail events, shopping nights, Christmas evenings and the Lanterns on the Lagoon festival.

Bruce and Virginia have always remained active in the business and community world, having been self-employed for the last 40 years.

When they first moved to Tumut around 1985, they realised how much potential this area held and knew they could call Tumut home.

Over the years they established a local restaurant, retail shops, a café and accommodation before creating their long-term successful business – Inside Out Homestore.

They are pleased to see this business live on with new local owners Jodie and David, ensuring that the Snowy Valleys region continues to have opportunity to shop local and support small when buying their quality cookware and homewares.

Bruce and Virginia are excited to see Jodie and David succeed in their new journey as owners of Inside Out Homestore and will work closely during the transition period to support their new venture whilst enjoying their retirement.

The business will officially change hands on Friday, June 14, drop by to say hi to Bruce and Virginia and welcome Jodie and David to the business.
