Chauvel Anniversary Light Horse Memorial Ride

ON Thursday night, 3 April, approximately 20 members of the Tumut RSL Sub Branch hosted a barbecue dinner and tour of their Sub-Branch memorabilia for the riders and support staff of the Chauvel Light Horse Memorial Riders.

The event was a warm and welcoming occasion, highlighted by a heartfelt address from RSL president Robert Watson.

During the event, Pat Leary read a pledge on why they ride, which was well received by all in attendance. In appreciation for their hospitality, the Chauvel Light Horse Memorial Riders presented the Sub-Branch with a book titled “The Art of Sacrifice” by George Petrou OAM, to add to the Sub-Branch library.

The evening was a testament to the camaraderie and mutual respect between the Tumut RSL Sub Branch and the Chauvel Light Horse Memorial Riders, showcasing the strong bonds within the defence community.
