A Tumut resident or visitor to the region has gone about their Monday morning completely oblivious they won $200,000 in the latest Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The elusive player won the first prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1494, drawn Monday.
The ticket is unregistered, so officials from the Lott have no way of contacting the winner to break the news and must wait for them to come forward to claim their prize.
The winning entry was purchased at Tumut Newsagency.
Tumut Newsagency owner Roger Maybury said he was hoping the winner would check their ticket in his outlet soon, so he could share the winning moment.
“It’s so exciting! We are over the moon,” he said.
“We were overdue for another major prize win, so we couldn’t be happier.
“The last time we sold a major prize was a few months ago, so we hope this is the start of a winning run.
“We will be encouraging all of our players to check their tickets.
“We’re hanging out to give someone that sensational news on a miserable winter’s day.”
The Lott spokesperson Ally Ramsamy said the mystery winner could be completely oblivious they’d just become $200,000 richer.
“If you purchased a Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot ticket in draw 1494 from Tumut Newsagency, you have 200,000 reasons to check your ticket today,” she said.

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $5.32 million for draw 1495 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $2.19 million for draw 10397.
