Council set to push for HumeLink on public land

The Snowy Valleys Council will this week debate a motion to advocate for TransGrid’s HumeLink project to be built on public land, rather than through local farmland. At the same time, the infrastructure-builder is starting to offer a round of ‘community partnership’ grants to Riverina not-for-profits. SVC Mayor James Hayes said he’s skeptical of the program.
