Wednesday marked four consecutive days with no new cases of Covid-19 identified within the Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD).
Of the almost 2200 tested for the virus within the region, there have been 42 confirmed cases as of Wednesday. One patient has passed away in Albury, and four patients are currently hospitalised.
Wagga Wagga has the most cases with 10, followed by Federation with seven, Albury City with six, Berrigan Shire with five, Griffith City and Murrumbidgee Council with three, Greater Hume and Hilltops Council with two and Cootamundra-Gundagai, Hay Shire, Narrandera Shire and the Snowy Valleys Council Area all with one each, as of Wednesday morning.
It was also announced this week that of the 42 confirmed cases, ten patients have recovered from Covid-19.
One patient has recovered in Albury, one in Federation, two in Greater Hume, two in Griffith City, one in Murrumbidgee, one in the Snowy Valleys and two in Wagga Wagga.
The 20-29 age bracket is the highest affected demographic in the MLHD with 14 confirmed cases. This is followed by the 60-69 and 70-79 age bracket each with nine cases, the 40-49 age bracket with four, and the 30-39 and 50-59 age bracket with three.
27 of the patients and female, compared to 12 male.
