The game kicked off with intense energy from both sides. The Blue Team featured strong performances by Mitchell Oberholzer, Clay Sutton, Ollie Ridley, Danielle Oberholzer, and Everly Webb.

Despite their solid teamwork and coordinated attacks, it was Billy Bathgate who managed to find the back of the net, giving the Blue Team their only goal of the match.

On the other side, the Orange Team showcased excellent coordination and aggressive play. Ashley Pearce opened the scoring with a sharp finish, followed by a well-executed goal from Henry Piper. Mila Webb, Maggie Piper, Toby Ridley, and Issy Dodd also played crucial roles in maintaining control and applying pressure on the opposition.

Both teams battled hard until the final whistle, but the Orange Team’s two goals proved decisive, securing them the win in a closely contested match.

The match was an exciting and fast-paced showdown between two well-matched teams. The Bobs took an early lead with Billy Bathgate being in the right place to tap in not one but two goals. Katie Jeffery and Gabby Hicks each chipped in with well-taken strikes.

The moment of the match came when Alex scored her first goal of the season, celebrated by the entire team.

Chloe Pearce and Paige Kelly were relentless in attack, creating chances throughout, while Angus Adams and Lilly Rosetta were rock-solid in defence, breaking down the Bibs’ advances time and again.

The Bibs fought back valiantly, with Tom Belt scoring two excellent goals to keep his side in the game. Zoe Bathgate added a third goal late on, giving the team hope of a comeback.

Charlotte Kelly and Sara Hannan put in strong performances in midfield, driving the team forward, while Cully Reynolds was steadfast in defence.

Hugo Adams and Gracie Massey combined well in attack, creating opportunities and keeping the Bobs’ defence on their toes.

Despite the Bibs’ determination, the Bobs held on for a well-earned victory in a contest that showcased skill and teamwork from both sides.

Quicksticks 3 v Middy Mites 0

Quicksticks started strong, despite missing some players. Nat Wilson was consistent and strong in defence, continually getting the ball to Bun Maher, who had a great game. Chelsea Webb, Taylah Wilson and Taylor Kelly all played well.

For Middy Mites, Amanda Kendall and Charlotte Kelly were strong in attack as usual, working together in a good combination. Lily Rosetta always found herself in good positions and Sara Hannan was an asset all over the field. Lyndal Hannan was great in defence and attack and Charlotte Hannan played confidently in the backs.

Bec Connolly stopped a lot of hits from determined Quicksticks players and Kerrie Hannan had an absolutely brilliant game, with nothing getting past her stick.

However, Quicksticks were too good, with three goals scored by Chelsea Webb, Hayley Keenan and Paige Kelly.

Wildcats 1 v Mustangs 1

These teams took to the field amid rain and muddy conditions and agreed with umpires from the outset to shorten the quarters to 10 minutes apiece.

Wildcats were first to score via Naomi Jeffery via a short corner penalty and despite some solid play and threatening to in the fourth quarter, were unable to find the goal again.

Naomi Sutton was strong in defence and Linda Cotterill consistently positioned herself well on the wing. Jacki Carter, Maddi Sutton and Erin Tobin all played well for Wildcats.

Without a goalkeeper and short a field player, Mustangs skill and solid teamwork came to the fore with usual wildcats player Tom Belt, helping too.

It looked like it could have been a tough day for Mustangs with Wildcats striking early but the early goal seemed to snap Mustangs out of a slumber. Some strong defence from Michelle Post and Donna Carroll led to some nice attacking play from Kelly Flew, Gracie Massey and Chloe Pearce.

Tom Belt was strong for Mustangs, handling the slippery conditions well. He formed a solid combination with Alicia Magann and Zoe Bathgate with Zoe showing composure in front of goal to beat the goal keeper and level the scores.

A fitting finish at 1-1.

Thanks go to the umpires Natalie Wilson and Jane Arragon braving the weather too.
