Automotive history and the passion of car and bike enthusiasts were on full display when Tumut River Brewing Corp hosted the Brew House car show on Saturday.
The emphasis was on Australian and American old-school muscle cars and this certainly hit a sweet spot with Tumut folk, who turned up in good numbers.
There were Falcons, Monaros, Specials, Mustangs, Chargers, Royals, Toranas, F-100s, Commodores, panel vans and Harley Davidson Triumph and other motorcycles on show, and they had come from places such as Wagga Wagga and Junee as well as Tumut.
The owners of the vehicles were only too keen to share their expertise and stories about them. Peter O’Brien brought the late-model V8 Chrysler Charger which belonged to the late Tommy Lowe of Tumut, and he has kept the remarkable two-door machine in great condition.
Also among the more popular exhibits was the 1970 Holden HG Monaro from Wagga, which has won 50-plus awards and has featured in Street Machine magazine.
