A 31-year-old man was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after rolling and being thrown from the utility he was driving at Batlow on Saturday night.
Police report that the man was driving the utility on Old Tumbarumba Road at Batlow, 500 metres south of Peels Creek Road when he
failed to negotiate a bend on the road at 11.10pm on Saturday night. The vehicle left the road and rolled several times, ejecting the driver before the vehicle came to a stop against a tree.
Police and other emergency services attended. The driver was airlifted to Canberra Hospital with very serious injuries. The cause of the collision is still under investigation, but police believe alcohol was a contributing factor. Motorists are reminded not to drink and drive.
