THE Tumut Acclimatisation Society released 3000 one-year-old trout in Blowering Dam yesterday.
Josh Butts is pictured here releasing the yearlings, which came from the Gaden Torut Hatchery in Jindabyne, and braving the wintery weather.
More such releases are planned for Blowering, Talbingo, the Tumut River and other local waterways in the near future, and this is to complement TAS’s ongoing native fish stocking program.
