THE Tumut Netball Association Winter netball competition season fired into action on Saturday with an impressive turnout of 41 teams hitting the courts.
From those who have been playing for a few seasons now to fresh-faced newcomers, each team put their all into their games.
Another great round of netball was played across all divisions, with players putting in strong performances and showing great sportsmanship.
Division 1: The Hot Chippies outplayed the Chalkies in a solid 31-24 win. Cybella Roddy and Katherine Penrith were named MVPs for their composure and control across the court.
Division 2: Bush Chemist Babes dominated their match against Court Chaos, finishing with a 34-17 victory. Standout players Eadie McKay and Rachelle Salmon took MVP honours.
Division 3: In the game of the round, Sparkles edged out Tiger Magic in a thrilling 24-21 finish. MVPs Audrey Hanson and Emmy Gaskin were key difference-makers.
Division 4: Fire Crackers lit up the court with a commanding 35-6 win over Live Wires. Scarlett Steel and Bella Crowe were deserved MVPs.
Division 5: Tiger Lillies proved too strong for Tiger Pride, taking the game 21-5. Olivia Graham and Amelia Kerr impressed as MVPs.
Division 6: Cherry Bombs wrapped up the round with a 25-3 win over the Feisty Fillies.
Congratulations to this week’s canteen award recipients, recognised for their enthusiasm, effort, and positive attitude on court: Halle Wells, Frankie Whiting, Darcy Waddell, Layla Hughes, Evelyn Jesperson, Georgie Bellette, Alice Stubbs, Remmy Richards, Marli Murphy, Stella Reynolds, Charlie Sturgess and Vivienne Garner.
