New leaf for The Apple Thief

The Apple Thief’s planned new Cider House is going to give tourists a taste of Batlow’s best, literally and metaphorically.

“It is going to be an interactive space, where people can walk through the trees to the cider house, and see cider being made, and also be able to taste it,” The Apple Thief managing director Dave Purcell said.

“We want to make it a craft space, crafty, wooden, boutiquey, where people can see the craft cider.”

The plan is to have this open by the end of the year, depending on a number of factors, and the process is well under way.

“We have moved the store to the back of the shed, and we are still open for business,” Mr Purcell said.
