THE Tumut Blues Old Boys and Supporters Inc. re-elected the office bearers and committee that brought them much success through the past two years at their AGM at Club Tumut on  Wednesday night.

The Old Boys were rocked by the passing of Ray “Dossie” Carr in late 2023 and have worked hard to maintain his legacy.

This has borne fruit in the form of the continued success of the Tumut Old Boys Nines, and in particular the women’s competition, which has led to the formation of the Tumut Blues first women’s tackle team which will compete in Group 9 next year. The move to become affiliated with the NSW Rugby League for the recently concluded 2025 Nines tournament was also hailed a success at the AGM.

At the AGM, Garth Roddy was re-elected president, Barry Madigan vice-president, Tony Roddy secretary and Ray Claffey treasurer.

Graham Wilkinson, Rob Kerr, Larry Stitt, Ron Sutton, Ken Keenan, Brian Frost, Michael Madigan, John Hickson, Gus Malone, Stan Collakides, Mick Carter, David Crearley and Rick Hargraves were elected committee members.

The meeting heard that the finances of the Old Boys are in fairly good order, and they the group will be $7000 better off, and also that the 2005 reserve grade want to plan a reunion for some time this year. The group also wants to get in touch with the Hogs motorcycle charity group and organise some collaboration when they visit Tumut and surrounds.
