One new Covid case in Snowy Valleys

There was one case of Covid reported in the Snowy Valleys to 8pm last night.

It follows a sewage detection of the virus in Tumut reported by NSW Health on Saturday.

There were 13 cases of Covid across the Murrumbidgee Local Health District, including six in the Albury LGA, two in Federation, two in Wagga and two in Lachlan Valley.

The Murrumbidgee Local Health District continues to urge the community to come forward for testing and vaccination.

There are currently no patients in the Intensive Care Unit across the MLHD.

The Tumut-Tumbarumba region has more than 95 per cent of people who have received a single dose of a Covid vaccine, and more than 91.5 per cent are double dosed.

Across NSW, 180 new cases of Covid were reported to 8pm last night. There was one death – a woman in her 50s from south western Sydney died at Campbelltown Hospital. She was not vaccinated.
