
WHILE the weather remains very warm the late summer sizzler has bowlers damp with perspiration, games have continued in all sections of competition.
Super Sunday Bowls last week had 18 bowlers turn out for their social day.
Winners were Ken Wilson, Shirley Rankin and Liz Holmes.
Runners up were Debbie Akers, Gus Malone and Kath Vicary.
The bonus draw went to Anne McCauley.
There will be no Super Sunday this Sunday the 16th because of all pennants games being played at home.
Pennants Results for round 5 are Club Tumut 4s – 66(8pts) Temora 3s -58(2pts).
Club Tumut 6s -58(4.5pts) Gundagai 6s – 58(4.5pts).
Tumut 7s had the bye.
This Sunday Tumut Grade 4, 6 and 7 will be playing at home with games starting at 11am.
As Business Bowls in nearing the end of their competition the point scores and ladder positions are looking being monitored.
The ladder as it stood following last Thursday matches (6 March) were: TTJ and Singing Chicks both top of the list on 91 points.
The next three teams have only one point separating them – ARB (86), Southern Rams (85) and Tumut Plains Cricket Club (84).
Moving down the list and chasing the points to move up a rung are 3 Wise Men (81) drawing with Kevron (81).
Only four points below these two is Gordon & The Gang on 77 points while AKD Termites are close behind on 75.
The remainder of the ladder list sees Old Boys on 74pts, MMS 1 (73), Woolbar, Team Kytens and Hotdogs all on 72 points.
Wyangle is next down the list on 71 with Visy (67), Fitzroy Boys (65), Wood & Wicks (64), MMS 2 (64), JBE Electrical (59), Tumut Pterodactylus (58) equal with Lounge Lizards and GEA Electrical all on 58, with Blues Birds still in its bottom position on 35.
With only one round to be played before the finals close games are expected from all teams.
Spectators are most welcome to come along and watch the antics of Business House bowlers and enjoy the socialising in Club Tumut following the matches.
