Tumut local claims $100,000 Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot win

Tumut Newsagency’s Cheryl Harris, Laura Joynoy and Roger Maybury are delighted to have sold a big-winning lottery ticket

A TUMUT resident has discovered he is $100,000 richer, ending a week-long search for the region’s mystery first prize Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot winner!

The thrilled winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, said he was over the moon at the surprise windfall.

The winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10163, drawn on Monday, June 5, was purchased at Tumut Newsagency.

As the winning entry was not registered to a Players Club card, NSW Lotteries had no way of contacting the winner, and was waiting for them to check their ticket and come forward to claim their prize.

Apart from winning the $100,000 1st Prize, he also won $2,000 in consolation prizes in the same Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw.

“The news is still sinking in. I can’t believe it!” he said.

“I had no idea I was walking around all week with the winning ticket!

“I’m not sure what I’ll do with the money yet, but it’s definitely a big help.”

Tumut Newsagency owner Roger Maybury said he was overjoyed to have sold the winning ticket.

“We’re thrilled the winner is a local,” he said.

“He was absolutely clueless when he came in to check his ticket, so it was fantastic to be able to give him the good news!”
