Another podium finish for Elliott

Following his second-place finish at Silverstone in round one of the UK’s Pirelli National Superstock series last month, Brayden Elliott has landed his second podium finish in as many events, finishing second at Oulton Park.

After qualifying eighth over the weekend, Elliott went into Monday night’s race full of confidence on his CFS Filtration No Bull Racing Honda Racing UK superbike, working his way through to field, eventually finishing second to Billy McConnell

Elliott registered 22.41:742 minutes for the 14-lap event, finishing 3.024 seconds off the winner, while also registering the second fastest lap of the race with a slick 1.36:094.

“What a race, I think today was one of the best races of my career,” Elliott said after the win.

“Physically and mentally, I was at 100% all race long. I dug deep, fought hard and couldn’t be prouder to be tasting the champagne again.

“My whole little team deserved to stand on the podium with me today. We chipped away all weekend and you guys worked hard to make this happen.

“There are a small group of people that have continued to believe in me when at times I began to doubt myself.

“Today was for those of you that haven’t stopped believing.”

Incredibly Elliott now sits second on the Pirelli National Superstock series standings with 48 points, trailing only Tim Neave, who is on 60 points.

The Tumut product will now prepare for round three of the series when racing at Donington Park on May 20-22.
