Minor Leaguers show respect for all on and off the ground

Under 6s League Tag Green

Tumbarumba Batlow Minor League Under 6s League Tag Green’s game in the Respect Round on Saturday was the team’s first home game of the season.

The team trialled some new tactics on the field.

Poppy Garner utilised the physical challenge tactic by completing multiple laps around the field, tiring out everyone before finishing with an impressive try.

Taking the disruptor play to a new level, Sonny Lyons positioned himself like a frog and with other players committing to the frog pose, the Wagga Brothers team were bamboozled (as were Sonny’s parents).

The Greens showcased consistent attack and gritty defensive skills.

Jaxson Kirton and Flynn Hammond scored three tries each and Ariella Murphy, Sonny Lyons, Myles Harper, Ellie Johnstone and Poppy Garner also contributed to the try count.

Congratulations to the Brothers, the entire Greens team and coach Mark Kirton for an enjoyable game of league tag.
